Festival War on Screen

Official competitions and out-of-competition programme 

The 8th WoS Festival will be held from 29th September to 4th October 2020.

Two international competitions are held each year: a feature film competition (10 films) and a short film competition (10-15 films). The films may also be submitted to out-of-competition categories. 

Rules of submission

Registration of films: from 17th February to 1st June 2020

Registration fee: free of charge

Conditions:

• Films produced between 2019 and 2020. 
• Maximum length: 60 minutes or more for a feature film, and under 30 minutes for a     short film.
• Without distinction of genre or format.
• The festival does not demand exclusive rights. The films can be registered and screened in other festivals.
• The films in a language other than French and English must be subtitled in either French or English.
• The festival covers the transportation costs of the copies of selected films.
• Festival screening format: DCP
• The copyright holder agrees not to withdraw the film after selection.
